Playa del Coco Café — commercial infrastructure.
Small commercial environments rely on stable connectivity for daily operations. Maple Connection redesigned and stabilized the network infrastructure at a café in Playas del Coco to support reliable Wi-Fi and POS connectivity through a busy tourist season.
Executive summary.
The café processes payments and serves customer Wi-Fi through a busy season. The previous setup was consumer hardware patched into a residential layout. It worked some of the time. Not the times that paid.
We redesigned the network, installed commercial-grade hardware, and put stable wireless across the floor for both customers and staff.
What was deployed.
Network upgrade
Commercial router and switching to replace the consumer hardware that wasn't sized for the operation.
Wireless coverage
Wi-Fi coverage planned around the actual café layout — the seating, the counter, the patio — not the box defaults.
POS stability
POS connectivity stays up through peak traffic. Holds through brownouts and outages on the UPS.
What changed.
- Payments process through peak hours without dropouts.
- Customer Wi-Fi reaches the whole floor, including the patio.
- Staff stop troubleshooting the router during a rush.
- Power events stop turning into closed-doors events.
- One install, monitored from our side.
