About Maple Connection

Standardized infrastructure. Documented environments. Managed month to month.

Most IT in Guanacaste is break/fix: someone shows up, patches one thing, leaves no record. We install it once, document it completely, and manage it month to month.

Operating model

Three things hold it together.

Lose any one and you're back in break/fix.

01

Standardization

Same foundation at every property. Same hardware categories, same configuration patterns, same documented playbook. That repetition is what makes a property manageable — and what lets us fix something at 8pm without having to reverse-engineer it first.

02

Documented environments

Every credential, every device, every IP, every cable, every vendor contact. Stored in one place we can find on a phone, and handed back to you on request. No more "the guy who set this up is gone."

03

Remote-first, on-site when it matters

Most issues get handled before anyone drives out. Monitoring catches them early. Remote access fixes most of what's fixable. On-site visits are for the things that actually need hands — not a default because nothing else is in place.

Commercial terms

Month-to-month as confidence, not caution.

Month-to-month. No long contracts, no lock-ins, no surprise invoices. If the monthly estimate isn't worth it, you stop. You keep the documented environment either way.

Fit

Where this works best.

Managed infrastructure isn't for every property. It works when three things are true at once.

01

You want one standard

You're ready to converge on a single operating standard rather than preserve whatever mix of hardware grew over the years. A clean foundation is the thing that actually stays stable.

02

You want ongoing management

You're done paying for one-off visits that don't stick. The goal is an environment that gets better over time, not one that resets every six weeks.

03

You value the environment being known

Credentials, configs, history, vendor contacts — all documented, all recoverable, all yours. Not locked in one technician's head.

Origin

Forged in Canada. Delivered in Costa Rica.

The standard Maple runs on was built for a multi-year, export-grade cannabis cultivation project in Canada that closed in 2020: international compliance from day one, multi-zone access and surveillance separation, infrastructure documented for handoff, no shortcuts available on a new build at that scale. That discipline is the baseline under every engagement since.

Same methodology. Two practices. Two jurisdictions. Selvatec runs the practice in Canada. Maple Connection runs it in Guanacaste. Same tools, same approach, two companies.

In Costa Rica the work is delivered by a local Guanacaste crew: onsite response, regional context, fluent in how Wi-Fi, POS, and surveillance fail in this climate. It runs on Selvatec's Canadian hosting backbone, with cross-border redundancy and group-purchasing leverage on hardware and connectivity.

One operator. One number to call.

Who you're calling.

Swens, Maple Connection

I'm Swens. I started building reliable infrastructure in Canada in 2000 and brought the same standard to Guanacaste in 2022. When something breaks at your property, you're not reaching a queue or a rotating tech. You reach one accountable operator, backed by a local crew and our Canadian backbone. One number, and it's mine.

What it costs.

Every property is different, so we don't post a price. We scope yours and send a monthly figure the same day. Here's the comparison that matters: one offline weekend — cancelled bookings, a run of one-star reviews, a guest locked out at midnight — costs more than a year of management. Boringly reliable is the cheaper option.

Tell us about your property.

Tell us what's fragile. We read every intake and reply the same day — what we'd fix first, and the monthly figure to manage it.
