How it works

How active management actually works.

Reliable infrastructure doesn't happen by accident. Five stages, in order, until the environment stops surprising you, plus a monitoring loop that keeps it that way.

Most Guanacaste properties are stuck in break/fix.

Someone shows up, patches one thing, leaves nothing documented, and disappears. The same problems come back six weeks later. We work differently because that loop doesn't scale and it doesn't get better over time.

How it works

The five stages.

Every property goes through all five. We don't skip any of them.

  1. 01

    Assess

Walk the property. Map what's there — network, Wi-Fi, cameras, POS, access, sensors. Identify what's fragile and what's going to fail next.

  2. 02

    Stabilize

Stop the recurring issues. Replace the worst hardware. Clean up the configurations causing outages. Get to a working baseline before changing anything else.

  3. 03

    Standardize

Converge hardware and configuration onto one documented standard. Same APs, same switches, same naming conventions. If another tech has to touch it, the environment is familiar inside five minutes.

  4. 04

    Document

Every credential, every device, every IP, every cable. Stored where we can find it — and handed back to you if you ever need it. No more "the guy who set this up is gone and nobody has the password."

  5. 05

    Manage

Continuous monitoring, patching, and response. We see problems before you do. On-site visits only when they're actually the fix — not a default.

What a managed week actually looks like.

Once the environment is standardized and monitored, the pattern changes.

01

Guest Wi-Fi just works.

You stop hearing about it. When a device acts up, we see it first.

02

Camera review is remote.

You pull up footage from your phone. We get paged the moment a camera drops offline.

03

Issues get triaged in the day.

Not a week. Not "we'll send someone Tuesday." Handled when it happens.

04

A monthly report summarizes the environment.

What happened, what we did, what we're watching next month. One email.

05

You stop coordinating vendors.

One operator owns the whole environment. You call one number.
