Key-Oh Portfolio — Office, Hotel & Lodge.
Key-Oh Business Development operates three sites — the Key-Oh Hotel, the Key-Oh Lodge, and the company's administrative office. Selvatec was brought in to put one network spine, one wireless standard, and one camera retention policy across all three, so the same playbook covers Office, Hotel, and Lodge. That same playbook is what Maple Connection now runs in Guanacaste.
Executive summary.
Three sites, three different network setups, three different ways someone had patched in cameras over the years. Wi-Fi dropped in the wrong places. Cameras worked until they didn't. Nobody had documentation of what was actually in the racks.
We took it on as one project across three sites, not a string of fixes. Same hardware family at every site. Same wireless standard. One monitoring view that covers all three.
Three sites. One standard.
Three different environments, each doing a different job inside the portfolio.
Key-Oh Office
Where the GM and admin team work. Stable Wi-Fi, working printers, phones that ring.
Key-Oh Hotel
Guest-facing hospitality property. Wi-Fi has to work, cameras have to record, the systems can't go down during check-in.
Key-Oh Lodge
Network and Wi-Fi covering the lodge buildings, the dock, and outbuildings. Cameras where they're needed, with off-site backup.
What we walked into.
- Wi-Fi worked at the front desk and died in the back rooms.
- Each site had a different setup. Whoever installed it had left.
- Cameras from three eras, half of them not actually recording.
- No documentation. Passwords on Post-its. Credentials lost when staff turned over.
- Break/fix only. Same things broke again.
What we built.
One foundation, three sites. Built for the long term.
Network backbone
Commercial routers and managed switches at every site, all on the same configuration baseline.
Wireless coverage
Coverage walked and planned, not guessed. Pool deck, lobby, back corridors — all reach.
Cameras
4K cameras over PoE, recording locally with off-site backup, AI-indexed for fast review.
Monitoring
Remote monitoring so when a switch starts flapping, we see it before anyone calls.
Documentation
Every device, every credential, every cable run, written down. Handed to you in your own copy.
Standardization
Same hardware family and naming across all three sites. A tech who's worked one site can work all three.
What changed.
Break/fix patchwork replaced with one documented standard. The portfolio runs.
- Guests stop calling the desk about Wi-Fi.
- Staff stop carrying personal hotspots.
- Cameras you can actually review when something happens.
- Outages drop. The recurring ones stop recurring.
- When a tech needs to touch it, the docs are there.
- One number to call. Same team owns all three sites.
